Overview of Teachers' Pay
Teaching is a profession that requires dedication, patience, and a heart for nurturing young minds. In recent times, teachers' unions have successfully advocated for improved pay scales, bringing some good news to educators across the UK. From September 2023, teachers saw a 6.5% increase in pay.

The pay scale system is used to determine a teacher's salary based on their position, performance and responsibilities. The system consists of several categories, each with its own set of parameters and pay range.
Today we'll be looking at the 'M', or 'main' pay range for the academic year 2023/24:
